Did you know that Hattiesburg had street cars in the early 1900's? The Hattiesburg Traction Company ran 12 motorized trolley cars over 12 miles of track to different points in the Hub City. The track was of standard gauge and used a 550 volt d.c. power source. (MissPress, 2011).
